Senior Electronics Firmware Engineer

MONOKEI is seeking for a senior firmware engineer to join our team.

i. Roles and responsibilities:

We’re working on the next generation of input devices, and we’re looking for a passionate senior electronics engineer to join us.  As Senior Firmware Engineer, you’ll work closely with Product to develop new input devices that are intuitive and innovative. You’re here to make good things for human beings.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Design, develop and troubleshoot embedded firmware for MONOKEI products

• Define and lead requirements, design reviews, conduct technical analysis when necessary

• Collaborate and document designs with manufacturers for complete electrical and electronics validation and production

ii. You:

You have experience working on products from systems design, schematics to layout.

• are an excellent communicator with the ability to clearly present ideas both verbally and visually

• have a degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree and / or experience, whichever is more useful

• have experience with real-time embedded software design

• knowledge of connected consumer wireless technology including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, RFID, NFC.

• 3-5 years experience working with at least two different embedded OS, including FreeRTOS, ChibiOS, Newt, etc.

• ability to architect embedded systems

• ability and demonstrated experience to design, implement, debug, test and deploy systems based on real time OSes and super loops.

• understand the importance of IRQ based designs and minimising ISR timing.

• knows how to effectively manage heap/stack and deal with memory leaks.

• can write automation tools, and be effective with time

• uses best practices such as hardware in the loop testing, CI-CD, and leverage QA/test teams.

• knows how to deal with and implement secure solutions including secure boot, encrypted images and effectively protecting IP in risky environments such as manufacturing lines.

• build clean, elegant and maintainable code.

• are passionate about hardware & embedded systems

• able to work independently in a fast growing startup environment

iii. Good To Have:

• Production cycle experience

• Additional languages
