MONOKEI Kei v2 60% EC Keymap JSON

The Kei v2 uses the MNK60-EC PCB. We’re waiting for our pull request for VIA to go through so that you can use it with the web and newer versions of VIA. In the meantime, here is a solution to get VIA up and running with the Hiro.

VIA JSON Loading Guide:

For VIA Desktop V1.3.1 (VIA Desktop V1.3.1 Download Link)

Download the following JSON file. (”right click” + “save as” to save the file)
Load the provided JSON file via the “Design” tab on the top. (If you don’t see the Design tab go to Settings and enable “Show Design tab”)
Navigate to the Design tab, click “Load” and select the provided JSON file.
The Configure page should work at this point and you can proceed to make changes using VIA.

For VIA Desktop V2.0 and VIA Web

Download the following JSON file. (”right click” + “save as” to save the file)
Load the provided JSON file via the “Design” tab on the top. (If you don’t see the Design tab go to Settings and enable “Show Design tab”)
Navigate to the Design tab, click “Load” and select the provided JSON file.
Disable “Use V3 definitions (via/next)". This step is required for the JSON definitions to work correctly.
The Configure page should work at this point and you can proceed to make changes using VIA.

MNK65 (Hiro) V1 Firmware File

MONOKEI Hiro Firmware Flashing Guide:

Install QMK toolbox for your operating system from https://github.com/qmk/qmk_toolbox/releases
Start QMK toolbox and click on the “open” button, select the provided firmware file for MNK65_STM32. The file extension ends with “.bin”.
Check that the MCU is ATmega32U4.
Press the reset button on the PCB (for MNK65 it is under the left side of the Space Bar area.)
The QMK Toolbox should show the PCB at this point. Click “flash”
The system would show “flash complete” at the end. You can return to VIA at this point to load the JSON file.
