Senior Industrial Designer

You love detailed, well designed products that balance form and function. You believe that there can be more to current input device solutions in both form and function. You believe that design is how it works, but it should look good too. As Senior Industrial Designer, you want to dictate MONOKEI’s engineering direction and work closely with Design to develop next generation input devices. You’re here to make good things for human beings.

i. Roles and responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Develop intuitive and innovative mechanical keyboard-related products
• Utilise digital and physical tools (models, renderings, 2D prints, etc) to validate design solutions
• Willing to challenge assumptions and possess the ability to adapt or generate imaginative and innovative ideas. You care about human centric solutions
• Collaborate with manufacturers to test and validate material ideas

ii. You:

• are an excellent communicator with the ability to clearly present ideas both verbally and visually
• have a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or equivalent
• 5+ years of hands-on design experience
• have proven experience in developing products from concept to production
• are highly skilled in sketching, form giving, 3D surface quality, and 3D modelling using 3D CAD applications (NX, Rhino, Solidworks, etc)
• are experienced in rendering software (Blender, Keyshot, VRed, etc)
• are reasonably proficient in 2D design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, etc)
• are well-versed with contemporary manufacturing processes
• are familiar with human centric industrial design with a focus on aesthetics and usability
• love working on details while developing solutions that are scalable and cost-efficient
• have a portfolio ready for us to peruse

iii. Good To Have:

• Experience with consumer electronics
