MONOKEI is seeking for a senior web developer to join our team.
i. Roles and responsibilities:
We’re working on the next generation of input devices, and we’re looking for a passionate senior web developer to join us. As senior web developer, you’ll work closely with the team to develop the MONOKEI experience on the web. You’re here to make good things for human beings.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Leading the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality web applications and websites, with a focus on e-commerce platforms like Shopify.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring a seamless integration with backend systems.
- Optimising website performance, security, and usability.
- Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure our web applications are at the forefront of the industry.
- Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to improve code quality.
ii. You:
- Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Or real world experience of the same equivalence.
- Are an excellent communicator with the ability to clearly present ideas both verbally and visually.
- Posses strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Posses extensive experience with Webflow, including designing and building responsive, user-friendly websites.
- Proficient in Shopify e-commerce platform, including theme customisation, app integration, and performance optimisation.
- Possess backend development knowledge, including server-side languages (e.g., PHP,Python, Ruby, or Node.js) and database management systems (e.g., MySQL,PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
- Are familiar with modern web development tools and frameworks, such asAngular, React, or Vue.js.
- Have a strong understanding of web application architecture, including API integration and server-side rendering.
- Have excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Have a proactive approach to learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
iii. Good To Have:
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.
